We here at Local Kine Tingz love to give back. As of December 2021, we've pledged to donate 2% of our profits to the following non-profit organizations:
  1. Surfrider Foundation: Dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world’s ocean, waves and beaches, for all people, through a powerful activist network.
  2. Hawai’i Land Trust: To protect and steward the lands that sustain Hawaiʻi, and to perpetuate Hawaiian values by connecting people with ʻāina.
  3. Resolve: the National Infertility Association: The National Infertility Association, established in 1974, is dedicated to ensuring that all people challenged in their family building journey reach resolution through being empowered by knowledge, supported by community, united by advocacy, and inspired to act.
We try our very best to limit waste when making and shipping our products—we often will recycle packaging. We believe in cultivating a love and respect for the land and sea; by nurturing it, it can give back all we need to sustain life. Because of their continued efforts to protect the land and oceans, we have chosen to support Hawai'i Land Trust and the Surfrider Foundation.
For those that have been following our candle making journey from the beginning, you know that Bryson and I have also been on a fertility journey. Our business was birthed in the middle of the pandemic due to Bryson and I trying to cope with the miscarriage of our child. The loss devastated us but along the way to healing we met so many others that had experienced the same pain. The topic of infertility is one that is not discussed enough and very many at the beginning may tread the path alone not knowing that there are many resources out there to help. Creating this awareness and advocacy is why we've chosen to support Resolve: the National Infertility Association.
We are so humbled by the amount of love and support from all our customers, small/big business friends, and our family. Each and every one of you has made us, Local Kine Tingz, flourish into what it is today.
